Looking to stay pain free while hitting the road? Running is more popular than ever with an incredible reach across all age groups and abilities. Runners come in all forms and as distance grows, so can the risk of repetitive injuries. We are determined to get ahead of these issues and keep you on track to meet your fitness goals.
There’s where our Runner’s Lab comes in, a full head-to-toe evaluation of your biomechanics as it relates to your running running performance.
Our running diagnostic is a full 1-on-1 examination of your body mechanics as it relates to running.
We start each exam with an overview of your running habits, foot wear, training schedule and history. We then perform a thorough examination of your strength, mobility, flexibility and functional abilities, looking for deficiencies in areas that can adversely affect your running. You’ll learn all about where your biomechanics need addressing, tweaking or monitoring.
After forming a picture of your body’s capabilities, we record your run from multiple angles to find manifestations of our findings.
We then review your videos and using gait analysis software, provide you with an in-depth analysis of your form and how it relates to our earlier findings.
We provide you with a plan to address any identified vulnerabilities, including a report of the findings, videos of exercises and a summary so you can fully understand what it all means.
Expect to stay about 45 minutes.
Our running assessment is a separate service and is USUALLY not covered by insurance. Our assessment costs $150.
Assessments done as part of a current rehabilitation program or the start of a new one ARE covered by insurance and will have no additional cost.
Please come dressed in running clothes and your current pair of running sneakers. Anything you would wear to work out, will work for this.
Our new office will be open to patients on January 2nd, 2023
